Mark J. Younan, OTR/L
Mark J. Younan is passionate and driven to assist others and focus on goal driven therapy. Mark is a native of Mahwah NJ and has close ties with Ramapo College and the town of Mahwah. Mark is a graduate from Ramapo College of NJ with his Bachelors in biology with a minor psychology. Mark has completed his degree at Columbia University for Occupational Therapy with specialization in shoulder rehabilitation, hand therapy, and functional adaption therapy. Mark is credentialed by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Mark is also a professor at Ramapo College teaching students reaching their health degree. Mark has been treating patients spanning from pediatrics to geriatrics with a specialization on orthopedic injuries, sports-related injuries, and proficient in shoulder rehab. Mark uses the model of achieving goals of the patient focusing on patient centered treatment and regaining independence in their everyday activities.
Mark has extensive experience utilizing physical agent modalities such as PiezoWave technology, LightForce laser therapy, ultrasound, electric muscular stimulation, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, cupping therapy, kinesotaping and the use of ART.
